Rick Noriega Releases His Military Records: February 27th, 2008
Two weeks ago, Rick Noriega rejected a demand by John Cornyn's surrogates that he turn over his military records to Republican Party operatives. We're not going to give Rick's records to Karl Rove or to Mr. Cornyn's Republican hatchet men: Instead, we're releasing them to all Texans today.
Texans want straight shooters. Like so many Texans, Rick is proud and honored to have had the opportunity to serve, and he welcomes honest scrutiny of his record.
After reviewing his military records, John Cornyn and all Texans will learn the truth: Rick Noriega served for 27 years, including service in Afghanistan, as "Operation Jumpstart" Laredo sector commander on the Texas-Mexico border and as incident commander of the George R. Brown Convention Center refuge during Hurricane Katrina.
But the truth has never stopped dishonest attacks on veterans. Here are 4 things you can do to help us fight back against any distortions or smears on Rick's service to our country:
1) Click on one of the links below to download each of Rick's military records:
2) Click here to read the campaign's press release.
3) Click here to sign the petition: Tell John Cornyn and his cronies that we won't stand for a smear campaign in our great state.
4) Click here to spread the word: Once you've signed the petition, invite your friends and relatives to sign the petition, too.
